  • Is It Time for the Tea Party to Become a Real Party?

Is it Time for the Tea Party - to Become a Real Party?

                                               Dr. Joseph W. Brennan

With all the dissention among Republicans and congresswo/men, hasn’t the time come to ask why both sides don’t simply form their own individual political parties? Those proponents of strong individualism might now consider separating themselves from their unwanted dependency on “fellow conservatives”, and become free to express their individual positions, policies, and political strategies. What now exists is, in fact, a coalition party. There are the true “Tea Members”, who drink their beverage straight, and the “Tea with Cream and Sugar”, crowd e.g. Mitch McConnell, who prefer their brew not too hot, not too bitter. Proclaimed “Self-Determination” would FREE both groups from the dominance of the other. It would free them to actually take some personal responsibility for writing their own social policies, and not depending on their NO, or HELL NO, responses to legislation. Both bodies could assert their First Amendment Rights and reject the suppression of their views by fellow party members. This move would FREE the McConnells, the Roves, and the Ryans, to clearly clarify their ideologies. Where are the FREEDOM Fighters, and the FREEDOM COALITION. that now refuse to proclaim their own FREEDOM?

    Joe Brennan
