"Right to Work" Laws Promote Wage Theft for Workers    Joe Brennan             Right to Work is a Scam. It leaves the worker without any protection when the employer steals their wages. Union dues give the worker the tools to fight back when their salaries are not paid.

Joseph W. Brennan D. S. W., M. Div. “Right to Work” laws are misleadingly named. They neither support workers rights to equal employment opportunity, nor do enable unions to force workers to join unions. Federal Law requires unions to represent both union and non union workers.

Joseph Brennan D. S. W., M. Div. Today several controlled by Republican Governors and legislatures are challenging workers’ rights by imposing what is commonly misnomer Right to Work Laws. Such legislation would give the uninformed reader the impression that these laws intend to protect and defend the rights of workers, in actuality they do just the opposite.

The use of the terminology Right to Work (RTW) is at best misleading. As will be demonstrated, such legislation when proposed in state legislatures does not provide for the protections of rights for workers, rather it limits their abilities to obtain certain benefits which ought to be part and parcel of what is due to them as a results of their efforts in the labor market.
